Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately document patient encounters, including history, examination findings, treatment plans, and progress notes in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Assist respiratory therapists and physicians during patient examinations and procedures, ensuring all relevant details are recorded.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and confidentiality standards (HIPAA).
- Maintain organized and efficient documentation processes within the department.
- Review and verify the accuracy of documentation and reports generated from patient encounters.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive and cohesive patient care.
- Support administrative tasks as needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
Qualifications:
- Medical bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
- Experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in respiratory care, is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records and computer systems.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
