Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical oversight and ensure compliance with DOH and CEPAR medical direction system requirements.
  • Advise the DOH and CEPAR on all clinical matters within the organization and provide required clinical data.
  • Will lead the Incident Command Management System, ensuring effective coordination and response during emergencies and disaster situations.
  • Contribute to corporate decision-making, strategy development, and governance activities to align clinical service delivery with best practices.
  • Develop systems and processes for clinical performance audits, governance, and professional practice.
  • Collaborate with leadership teams to implement clinical risk management strategies to safeguard patient care.
  • Oversee clinical performance management, quality assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including healthcare authorities, emergency response teams, and hospital networks.
  • Provide professional leadership and mentorship to clinical staff, ensuring high standards of care.
  • Act as a spokesperson on clinical issues to the public, media, and government as per regulatory guidelines.
  • Ensure the organization's compliance with medication management policies, safe prescribing, and administration practices.
  • Support the development and implementation of the organization's vision, including service design and eHealth initiatives.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for business case development and future clinical service expansion.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations for clinical data management.
  • Oversee provider and nurse certification, continuous education, and adherence to DOH practice standards.
  • Address deficiencies in patient care by working across departments and administrative units.

 

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Licensed to practice Emergency Medicine or Critical Care in Abu Dhabi.
  • Pre-hospital Emergency Care Experience (min 1 year)
  • Experience or training in the PHCS process improvement process.
  • Experience with the design and operation of out-of-hospital EMS systems
  • Experience or training in medical direction of out-of-hospital emergency units
  • Knowledge of DOH laws and regulations, specifically in the pre-hospital care sector.
  • Proven leadership, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills.
